shitty parks.... good times... great weekend!

well... yet another weekend in the van heading to some far off skatepark for some reason or another... this time a Manik demo and two year anniversary camping trip for midstate skate shop out of Yakima Wa.... as far as the demos went... BLAH.. the first one was in beautiful Selah Wa. i always thought this place was a treetop apple plant untill we actually got off the exit and drove around for about 30 mins looking for the park... which turned out to be a lil turd of a park.. aka a flat smooth area with some prefab concrete banks places in random places.. totaly street friendly so jesse and i "rockstared" it in the van looking at suicide girls and listening to horrible music (thanks to my glorious itunes collection)... after about two hours of that we finally headed to the Yakima park.. which is better.. but only really better when compared to Selah's park... the plus's... free tacos (its yakima so OF COURSE we had tacos) and at least some fun stuff to skate on... after shooting a few photos while trying to keep an eye on my skateboard so it didnt walk away (Hey... its yakima people steal shit there)... we head to fred meyers to round up some brew and ice and supplies for the camp out.. got a super good deal on some of millwalkies best (it was so bad i dont even care about spelling it correctly)... 30 brews for 12 bucks!... anyway we then headed out to the hills 8 cars deep... we seriously drove for about an hour out towards mt rainer untill we reached "bumping lake" which has a SWEET spillway which is skateable... even when theres 2 inches of water... which ended up being the case this weekend... started partying immediatly... had a dance/karaoke party to such hits as "i would do anything for love" and "dont stop believing" along with one other song which i cant think of the name... but for some reason everyone knew ALL the words... sometime during the night i finally passed out... and woke up the next morning to find people damming up the spillway trying to make the ditch more skateable.. we hung out... skated a bit... i shot a few photos... to which i had no idea anyone could skate in two inches of water thats well.. and did a lil swimming as well.. all in all it was a great day to relax and hang out in the woods with friends... now... enjoy the photos cuz i know thats probably the only reasoh you read these things... if you even read them at all! hahah thanks..
