yup... hella broke! ive been on a diet of water and saltine crackers for the past two days, im not worried though i have a pretty happy life here in broke land. First off i have RAD friends who have RAD parties at their house where some RAD DJ's spin some RAD music and not so rad hipsters dance so i feel pretty comfortable to dance as well.. cuz as you know.. hipsters cant dance, this is a true fact... anyway... i took some RAD photos and someone made a RAD lil video of the party... so heres the video.. and a link to the photos for you to enjoy:

1. Lindsay Buzzo, i never have a bad time when im causing trouble with lindsay
2. Jesse Nelson, he may be the worst at directions and act like a pissed off mom after a couple days on a road trip but if he called me right now id help him out no matter what.
3. brian easter (peanut), been friends since i can remember... dont see him to much but ive had to many good times to remember
4. mom, more support then i could ever ask for
5. dad, same as mom... maybe even more thanks for payin for school!

5 people/happenings that have changed my life:
1. Janell cook, craziest 3 years of my life, almost got married, almost lost friends, but i got my GED and enrolled in SCCC because of her and now i have a college degree... so i cant thank her enough.. wierd that what seemed like the worst break up ever turned into one of the greatest thigns that ever happened to me!
2. Highschool, i didnt like math... and i liked hanging out with my friends.. i didnt do that many if any drugs but i probably should have seeing how i dropped out because all my druggie friends held me back.. i wish i could have done that better but i probably wouldnt be here right now if i had.
3. SCCC photo program, what can i say... the best 25 friends anyone could ask for and the best two years of my life... wouldnt change it for the world
4. Snowboarding, met so many good people on the hill or because of the hill it makes me smile thinking about it...
5. Skateboarding, meeting new people every trip i go on.. and realizing that its alot less stressfull then snowboarding...

I really need to keep up on this whole "blogging" thing... i have rants/raves/thoughts/complaints most are really funny some are just plain stupid but who cares thats what this thing is for right? anyway here we go.... hold on with your life!

Ok, tomorrow or should i say "in three hours" im gonna leave on yet another adventure in skateboarding. Now i "should" be packing and getting all my camera shit squared away. BUT, nope, im sitting here in front of my computer watching CSI mami (worst show ever btw) wishing my cold would suddenly go away, but thats not gonna happen anytime soon. It should be a pretty interesting trip, start in issaquah drive to tacoma and pick up a new car, then drive to portland and pick up steven reeves, then drive to bacon HQ and pick up some boards and swag, then head to medford and hopefully get there before 5 so we can hold the "krux kick flip challenge". I guess we will be going from Medford then to Eugene, Portland, and then Windells up at mt hood which im really looking forward to as their park looks fucking sick. Either way this trip is looking towards being a fun one so ill be back with updates whenever i have the opportunity.

In the mean time check out this guys lil blog called "you will soon" full of lots of good reading and a hilarious review of the entire second season of "the life of ryan" who in case you all are wondering... is a fag! that should tie you over untill i get back so untill then.

so... i need to figure something out with my life! this thought has crossed my mind many times recently... mostly because while walking to the store to get some food i noticed i could have made more this winter working at tacotime... what the fuck is up with that? its almost like i wasted a whole winter making nothing out of myself and just working my ass off and getting lil or no respect... granted i had alot of fun doing alot of fun things... but what do i have no from it? memories at most... and although memories are great... im really lacking substance lately... hopefully ill figure this out....

well.... found my way back to tahoe again... northstar sure hasnt changed one bit thats for sure... still the same old fashion show going on and steezfest on the hill. At least i always seem to head down there with about 19 of my homies though so its always a good time... this time the occasion was for the red bull snow warz... basicly a college bro contest with teams from about 60 different colleges mostly from cali and the west coast but there were some from the east side of things too... so it was definatly a good time for a party... one thing is for sure about tahoe... is always SUNNY... and about 60 degrees... which is RAD concidering its been nothing but snow and more snow and a lil rain up here for the whole season... so its nice to be able to chill out and not be wet and cold after riding.... ok ok ill get to the real point... the parties!... well... when you got 10 friends in 15 passenger van eating some really good cookies things get started right off the get go i suppose... between crazy stories... crazy driving (including some crazy driving by yours truely) you could say it was a pretty decent 14hr road trip... the afterparties were pretty crazy... thank god they wernt in our condo as there were probably 100+ people in a three story condo breaking bottles and jumping off balconies and causing havoc in general... so i guess to wrap this up... we had a lil bit of everything on this trip... shit got lost... shit got stolen... better friends were made... and some friends got a lil sketchier... so to close it heres a photo of sam hall BOOSTING on the hip in the big park at northstar... and a link to photos from the trip..

yeah.... been lazy... really lazy... but mostly ive been moving and getting ready for winter.. oh yeah and i went to cali for a while... and montana (but i think you already know that...) anyhow.. heres a quick update...

basicly moved into a place in northbend... right behind safeway.. a min off the freeway and twenty mins from the mtn.. its RAD... my room is big enought to make a studio in.. which ive done... and the shop is big enough to have a HUGE mini ramp.. which is halfway done.. anyway... heres some photos of the place so check em out...

yeah so its been a while... yeah i suck at this... yeah... SO WHAT! ive been busy... anyway tomorrowi leave for the last adventure of summer... CALI.. yeah thats right going back to cali to cali... (ok ill shut up now) anyway going for two weeks... gonna hopefully take some awesome skate pictures... and hopefully meet the girls from laguna beach/the hills fall madly in love with em (or at least them with me) and they will marry me and i will be set for life... but in reality i HATE that show... both of em in fact... i hate those girls... but i wouldnt mind being set for life though... ill let you know how it goes... I WILL THOUGH... be meeting up with the love of my life at somepoint on the trip... when? who knows... i cant wait though!

now for a lil update on the past few weeks.... been busy i know... went to montana... stayed around here... did nothin... did alot... went to canada a couple times too... montana was pretty rad though... you can smoke in the bars there... thats pretty cool cuz you dont have to go outside to talk to the cute girls who smoke ...PLUS you can get your drinks TO GO!... yeah... to go... i tried it... it was all it was cracked up to be... AND MORE! i also skated some cool pools and parks... took a couple pictures... rockstared it with one of the dudes in pearl jam... and if you classify "rockstared" as drank beer and played dice on the deck of his private grindline bowl... then thats what i did... jeffs a cool dude.. just dont make fun of bono around him.. or else your in deep shit!

for some strange reason a group of kids driving a beat ass caddy with this thing on the hood followed us the whole way... more on this story if you want to ask me later... but really you just need to look at the hood and it tells you the whole thing...

yeah... i havnt updated in a while... my excuse.. i was busy and i had no internet for a week or so.. lame i know but does it really matter... i didnt think so..

ANYWAY... shot my second wedding.. well.. charity and i shot it together but that didnt make it any less nerve racking or stressfull.. even though it was jens wedding so no matter what she probably would have loved the pictures.. anyway.. this one really boosted my confidence towards shooting a wedding.. i have to thank charity and jen both for giving me the opportunity to shoot it.. im glad i had the chance.. plus it was a great lil vacation away from the busy city.. anyway heres a couple shots..

12:00 wake up coughing like a highschool kid smoking for the first time and walk upstairs to everyone making peanut butter sammiches and checking their myspace…

1:00 start playing guitar hero

2:00 continue playing guitar hero

3:00 ask ourselves “why arnt we at the skatepark right now?” yet continue to play guitar hero while gripping new decks

4:00 start heading to glenhaven

4:30 get to glenhaven… skate

7:00 realize that we should be on our way to Lincoln city so everyone piles into two vans… our van somehow ends up 9 people deep… (pictures later to prove it)… while the other van.. only holds 4…

9:00 after loading van… stopping at taco bell.. then eating for an hour.. we finally hit the road… here comes the fun part….

11:30 after driving for an hour and a half… we realize that the lead van.. (the van with 4 people in it mind you) has taken us on the LONGEST way to get to lincoln city.. basicly we drove fro Portland… to cannon beach.. then DOWN to Lincoln city.. which equals 180 miles… where as the proper way.. is only 80 miles.. and has no road contruction.. OR curvy coastal highways… which are NOT fun to drive at 1am just to let you know… logging trucks are scary.. lets just leave it at that…

130 am… arrive in Lincoln city… they want to sleep on the beach… I have no hoodie… no tent… and a cheap sleeping bag so fuck that… jesse and I get a hotel room for 60 bucks.. we barge 8 people into it and make our money back… and I get to shower in the morning…

sleep in....

wake up... realize that today is the day you leave for your trip... scramble around and try to find sources of income for said trip... even if it means selling random shit in your room to friends/parents/whoever... quarter jars work great too!

sit around untill the very last min... today for example i was supposed to be at jesse's house at 8:30pm... i sorry but there was a bronson movie on AMC and i definatly want missing that... plus i needed to shower and pack my shit still...

ten mins till 8:30... after quick shower and what not... start packing bags full of gear and clothing... throw it in car.. start pulling out of driveway....

8:35pm... jesse calls asking where the hell i am... i tell him "its a true winning bet that ill be late everytime... its just how i roll".. he says its all good... i roll out to the bank.. pick up a few bucks from the ATM and head to jesses...

9pm get to jesses... load up the van.. head to skatebarn...

get to skatebarn.. pick up daycare danny... eat some cold fried chicken... hella good...

stop by gas station.. pick up road soda.. start trek down south....

enjoy cold beverage most of way.. make it to portland in record time it seems....

continue drinking at bacon compound the skrotes are already drunk and in full effect...

wow... nyquill and beer makes you hella tired.. pass out around 3:30... no wait... 4am... ok wow definatly need sleep...

well... mr steroids did it tonight... 756... i watched it cuz i figured i should probably watch baseball history even if i think its totaly bullshit cuz the guy totaly jacked himself up on the roids back around 600... at least skateboarding and snwoboarding isnt tainted by steriods... it just proves baseball is a joke.. and thats that.. ANYWAY... tea.. yeah tea.. i said it... its probably been the ONLY thing thats helped me get past this cold that ive been in a huge battle with over the past week... ok. ok so about that photo... well tonight.. after watching bonds hit #756 i decided that i actually felt pretty decent... or at least decent enough to shoot some photos.. and leo had told me they were in the U-district skating so i headed out that way... about halfway i realized i forgot my lighting bag back in my room... but l uckly i had had my speedlights in my reg bag and i had a couple tripods in my car so i made due.. lets just say it involved a piece of bark.. and an A-clamp and i dont know how it held on there but it did so im happy.... heres a shot of hector i got tonight... i had to make due with only two lights so thats why its got the motion blur thing going on.. but i dig it so i guess thats all that matters... but feel free to let me know what you think...

ok now im gonna try and get some rest.. as i have to pack up and head out to oregon tonight for the tri-fecta... it should be fun so ill keep you posted!

its the worst... flat out the worst feeling ever! basicly heres a wrap up of my routine of the last three days...

try to get to sleep... but end up coughing my ass off hacking up a lung or two...

sleep for about an hour at a time... wake up coughing... drink more water.. cough some more... pass out somehow

wake up hella late in the afternoon... wasted day... feeling like crap... wishing my head woudl just get its act together and actually explode.. but it never does...

watch some xgames... you know they have rally racing in the xgames? wierd... but it was probably one of the most fun events to watch...

rent some movies.... casino royale is really good btw...

drink more cough medicine... cough some more...

try to pass out... no luck... still coughing...

i just hope i can start to feel better by weds cuz i leave for oregon for the weekend.. and the last thing i want to do is spend it coughing....

(basicly I cant stop caughing…) so to help everyone out who is sleeping in the cabin which what ive been told is called “mantana”… I took a walk around this place until I found some lil room (which wasn’t any cleaner then “mantana” btw) and passed out on a couch… ok lets get you up to par with where I am right now… im at the “coaches” lodging at windells snowboard camp… and by “coaches” lodging im talking about what looks to be an old crack den up in he mtns which has been converted to some sort of snowboarders party realm… I thought skateboarders were filthy… I guess we take the cake now?... the onl y thing I can compare this place to is jesses van after a week long road trip… times TEN! Because jesses van doesn’t smell like weed and piss… id take some photos but my camera is locked up in adams trunk… as for now ajax ust walked in so im gonna get ready do to some shredding and photographing… oh… and just to let you know orgoneians drink a lot of HAMMS… im out!

yup thats right... the day starts with the word "huckers" today marked the 6th annual redmond skate comp and in a world with out "ride on" it means that its a pretty small one at that.... good times were had by all... i got to sleep in (thanks jesse for waking me up with a call at 11:50) i shot some pictures... bs'd with friends... watched some friends skate.. and got a couple phone numbers in the process... thats always a recipe for a good day... speaking of day, the other word of the day is "hipster" having been lured down to the capitol hill block party only to have to pay to get in... (20 bucks YIKES!)... and to only really want to see one band (against me) it really want that bad... especially after surviving my first night ever at the "cha cha lounge" (aka where all the hipsters go to plot to destroy the world with one bad fashion accesory after another)... "no mom i didnt partake in any "blow" in the bathroom... and yes i closed my tab at 20 bucks for once!"... and after a heaping pile of "chocolate chip pancakes" with josh and karli i skated back to my car and drove home.... only to find none other then this WONDERFUL picture of me "chimping" yesterday at the double set jam contest thing at seattle central.... nice shot marshall.. i owe you one you make me look famous or something... thats all i have to say for the night... enjoy... look forward to hopefully me writing a story for sessions about the redmond contest.. ill be doing that tomorrow... wish me luck! yeah... thats right... yet ANOTHER day watching ANOTHER sunrise... not really that bad if you think about it i suppose... sunrises are pretty cool.. the sky turns from all black to dark blue then grey then finally pink and orange... and then its suddenly just like that, its daytime... well today i started out searching for a good shot of the sunrise... and i knew where to find one too... so i loaded one of my dogs up into the car... and headed out for this rad mtn top view i know of thats close to home.. only to find that the damn park is CLOSED untill 9 am... so basicly only the super rich people who live on the hill get a nice view cuz they sure as hell dont let any good vantage points fall into the "publics" eye... so i gave up on finding a mtn top view and headed for the beach of lake sammamish... which wasnt very visually stimulating... but i did get to take pics of ducks and remember my "roots" in photography... i guess i came around full circle today... i guess that only means i get to start another circle... this should be fun... ill keep you posted... untill then enjoy these photos of ducks and orange skys....

Well... microsoft paid snowboard connection to have their skate team do a lil demo at some big dinner thing on the waterfront today... i was invited along to take some photos of the whole thing... nothing really to exciting.. they promised "free tattoos" and "free beer" but once we got there there was no free tattoo... no tattooers at all.. just wierd people talking about computers... and the free beer only lasted about 20 mins before they figured out that we would have drank it all... and they didnt want a bunch of drunk skateboarders around.. so they cut us all off.. untill the demo was over.. anyhow it was a BEAUTIFUL day on the waterfront.. great sunset.. fun skating.. good friends.. heres a couple photos from the whole thing... now im off to bed!

So i finally finished the two day process of cleaning my room (slash) packing up all my junk.. i decided to start packing my stuff into boxes just in case i find someplace to live in the near future so it will save me some time when that happens... plus who needs a bunch of crap your never gonna use in your room anyway? anyway i also took the time to switch my room around.. get ride of a light table / desk / cluster fuck magnet that was taking up a bunch of space.. all in all i like the new layout.. its simple.. and im closer to my tv so i dont have to reach as far to change the channel (my remote mysteriously broke during a seahawks playoffs game... i wonder why?) plus now everything is put away and my dad wont have a tissy fit about all the shit strewn about the house not getting in his way... oh yeah... so since i was up all night AGAIN.. i decided to look on my computers HD for any photos i may have that might be fun to post on here... i ended up finding a few shots from a day in the BC with some of the local wildlife... so ill leave you all with those to enjoy... now im off to bed... YEAH!!!! finally got my check from mervin mfg.... only took like two months... but it was worth it.... so i put every penny in my savings so it will go towards bigger things instead of beer and food... anyway.. enough about that boring stuff.. finally went and shot some skateboarding tonight... jesse wanted to get a shot in the vert ramp at skatebarn after he got off work so i headed down there.. first tried a big method but he couldnt go big enough to make it look cool so we switched it up to a 5-0 fakie... i tried to make a boring typical ramp shot look somewhat decent and unique so i framed the shot between some supports for another ramp... had to get a lil tricky with the lighting but i think it worked out pretty good... what was rad was it gave me the first opportunity in a while to play with LIGHTROOM as i just got it the other day for my computer... I LOVE THAT PROGRAM! highly suggest it for anyone serious in photography... it works WONDERS! anyway... heres the shot...

It was fun cuz there was a bunch of lil kids watching and kept asking me "who is he sponsored by... and is he pro?"... and when that happens all i can do is make fun of him and tell him that "tony hawk can go bigger...." or some shit like that... its a good thing hes a good friend of mine i guess? hahah.... anyway now onto probably the highlight of my day... i got home and just as i sat down to work on the computer... a really good friend of mine called and told me how much she cared about me... i wish everyday could end like that... it made me feel really good! so thanks again for calling and letting me know... and dont forget i feel the same way about you! anyway im tired now... im end this and fall asleep... i hope you enjoyed the show...

Well.... decided NOT to go out drinking this friday night.... instead... i decided to hang out with Ryon who i havnt hung out with in what seems like MONTHS! anyway i hadnt taken any serious photos lately so when he said he was gonna go wash his car... i jumped on the chance to shoot a few photos afterwards... it was good times... pretty relaxing.. no stress.. no drama... and didnt spend much money.. plus i made it all the way out to his house with out getting pulled over... which is good seeing how he lives out in the boonies where there's COPS everywhere.. and since i still dont have tabs... things get a lil scary sometimes... anyway made it all the way out there... and on the way out i had an idea for a photo.. since he was gonna wash his car i wanted a photo of him washing his car... here is what i came up with...

After the car wash... we headed to sheris to meet up with his GF and get some tastey fried food... in which i got a HEAPING pile of fries and chicken strips... to which we also talked about doing some headshots and modeling pics for some tattoo pagent thingy shes competing in soon... plus she said shed dress up in a polka dot dress and shoot some photos... and ive been wanting to shoot something like that for a while now... anyhow... after sheris... we headed into enumclaw aka the home of casey kahne the famous NASCAR driver guy... not that that matters but i figured id let everyone know that... went to a rad brick wall and allyway i know of that always makes for an awesome backdrop... and shot some photos... here they are...

and now the sad news.... on the way home i saw the aftermath of probably one of the worst car wrecks ive ever seen... i never thought i would actually SEE a car wrapped literally around a telephone pole... seriously... it was like if you took a piece of paper... and folded it around a pencil... i cant imagine anyone survived.. seeing how it was wrapped around by way of the roof not the side... horrible indeed.. i was driving the opposite way on the freeway at the time so i didnt get any pictures... so my heart goes out to whoever was in that car...

well... ive held up to my self promise of NO car shows this whole summer... and you know what... its been GREAT!.. for starters i dont have to see the same old idiots giving the "vibe stare" cuz they think they have a better car then your or cuz your looking at their car... or some other bullshit... and second i dont have to hang out with the same old people i always find myself hanging out with all summer... who sit around and do NOTHING... and bitch about EVERYONE... speaking of which its pretty much been a bitch free summer for me... ive just lived my life day by day.. trip by trip... and had a blast.. of course there is definatlly reasons why im not hanging out with that crew anymore... ashley for one... and it kinda sucks cuz ive been friends with one or two of em for a long time... but in the long run.. they will still be my friends... and the people who never were my friend to begin with will be long gone and out of my life... i have school to thank for alot of this... finding new friends who dont just want to sit around bitching about people who drink and smoke... it helped me find friends who enjoy going out and doing things.... around PEOPLE... around girls... and they dont bitch about how the girls are automaticly WHORES.. even though they are probably really cool... anyway i should end this... cuz its starting to sound like me bitching... and they arnt all that bad.. but what it all comes down to is ive had the time of my life these past few months... pretty much stress free... its had its ups and downs... and could be better... but right now... its pretty good... so thanks everyone who has helped me free myself from the whirlpool that is the car scene... it feels good to be free!

DAMMIT!.... now i need to go back into my archive and find out if i shot a specific shot as a sequence... and god i hope i did... or else i might be S.O.L on selling an ad to airblaster! i just hope i can find it.... other then that my day has gone pretty well.. i think ive probably worked something out with black flys on the poster deal... and i have a mag interested in one of my other shots of jesse... and now this airblaster thing... photography is working out for me right now and it feels pretty good, i just hope it gets better or at least stays the same... ... enough of business... i went swimming today and totaly sliced my damn foot on some damn chunk of concrete in lake washington.. it was my own fault really i didnt know how shallow the lake was and kicked real hard trying to reach a ropeswing and kicked the bottom... other then that swimming went great... drinking beers lighting fireworks.. gettin some sun... all around good times!... heres a photo from this winter to tie everyone over.. and remember that there are two rad seasons in this world... summer for swimming and skating... and winter for doing all the things we cant do in the summer...

Wow... what can i say... the past few weeks have been awesome... my life has taken me from canada... to oregon... to canada again... to yakima and mt rainer... and now to orcas island... all in the span of about two and a half weeks! This time im gonna tell you all about Orcas island... for those who dont know.. orcas island is in the san juan islands which is a group of small islands in the north part of puget sounds up near canada... all that really matters is that is beautiful up there and everything slows down and gets more expensive... Anyway... this trip was all about skateboarding and having a good time... i dont know what it was exactly.. but i know it had something to do with the 4th of july.. bombshelter skateboard shop.. and grindline and a bunch of gnarly hesher dudes who build skateparks... really good ones in fact.. We started off the trip in ballard pickng up some people and filling up the van for the two hour hour and a half or so drive to the island so that we could wait for the ferry for another hour and then ride the ferry for yet another hour... while we waited for the ferry we bombed a short hill near the ferry dock and i watched danny almost eat shit but somehow he ran out of his crash... i dont know how.. but he managed to not die... which is a good thing i suppose... anyway the ferry was FILLED with middle school aged kids going off to camp.. it made me remember back to middle school and all the stupid shit we used to think was fun back then... i wish i could have gone to summer camp, it looks like alot of fun.. anyway from the ferry we headed straight to the park... which is probably one of the best parks you could ever skate at... SO much fun... skated in the heat untill we gave up and decided to find a camp spot and go swimming cuz we heard about a ropeswing.. found a camp spot on this rad lil mtn lake up on mt constitution... found the ropeswing after looking for about an hour... played on the swing... went back and set up camp.. then headed back to the skatepark for a session right before dark... which was rad... nothing like getting drunk with friends and skateboarding and not taking a single photo... it felt good! we then headed back to camp for hotdogs, hookah and a fire and to pass out... DAY TWO... woke up and had to tear down camp cuz our spot was reserved for someone else that night so we had to find a new spot which we did and then went swimming... probably one of the funnest days of swimming ive had in a LONG time.. we jumped off some big cliffs... shot bottle rockets.. drank beer.. talked to girls... and drank more beer... and jumped off more cliffs and trees and things... water is probably one of the most fun things on earth... seeing how it provides us with snow and lakes and rivers... thank you water! hahah anyway we then headed into town... got some pizza... had a pretty interesting moment when some really nice old couple thought we were in a band... and then we explained that we are skaters and a photographer and we basicly drive around in a van to different places and shoot photos... so its kinda like a band... just with less girls... she seemed pretty impressed which gave us a good ego boost... and we headed to the skatepark and jesse came up with a good band name... although i dont know how much the old lady would have liked it... or anyone else for that matter... the band name... "weekend rapists"... its bad... but it was funny at the time... and by no means is it true.. anyway had another good sesh at the park... i still shot NO photos... and LOVED every min of it... talked to mindee which made me halfway temped to jump on the first plane to san fran.. which was a hard toss up cuz orcas is rad... but shes just as rad... anyway... headed back to the camp with some girls who stopped by the park... things got interesting.. i was by no means involved in any of the interesting things that happend so dont anyone worry... but if anyone wants to know the story feel free to ask... its pretty interesting indeed... anyway now that ive dragged on about my pretty boring forth of july trip... ill get to the pictures... if you havnt already scrolled down this far by now anyway... well... yet another weekend in the van heading to some far off skatepark for some reason or another... this time a Manik demo and two year anniversary camping trip for midstate skate shop out of Yakima Wa.... as far as the demos went... BLAH.. the first one was in beautiful Selah Wa. i always thought this place was a treetop apple plant untill we actually got off the exit and drove around for about 30 mins looking for the park... which turned out to be a lil turd of a park.. aka a flat smooth area with some prefab concrete banks places in random places.. totaly street friendly so jesse and i "rockstared" it in the van looking at suicide girls and listening to horrible music (thanks to my glorious itunes collection)... after about two hours of that we finally headed to the Yakima park.. which is better.. but only really better when compared to Selah's park... the plus's... free tacos (its yakima so OF COURSE we had tacos) and at least some fun stuff to skate on... after shooting a few photos while trying to keep an eye on my skateboard so it didnt walk away (Hey... its yakima people steal shit there)... we head to fred meyers to round up some brew and ice and supplies for the camp out.. got a super good deal on some of millwalkies best (it was so bad i dont even care about spelling it correctly)... 30 brews for 12 bucks!... anyway we then headed out to the hills 8 cars deep... we seriously drove for about an hour out towards mt rainer untill we reached "bumping lake" which has a SWEET spillway which is skateable... even when theres 2 inches of water... which ended up being the case this weekend... started partying immediatly... had a dance/karaoke party to such hits as "i would do anything for love" and "dont stop believing" along with one other song which i cant think of the name... but for some reason everyone knew ALL the words... sometime during the night i finally passed out... and woke up the next morning to find people damming up the spillway trying to make the ditch more skateable.. we hung out... skated a bit... i shot a few photos... to which i had no idea anyone could skate in two inches of water thats well.. and did a lil swimming as well.. all in all it was a great day to relax and hang out in the woods with friends... now... enjoy the photos cuz i know thats probably the only reasoh you read these things... if you even read them at all! hahah thanks.. so... annie is rad... not only does she happen to share my birthday... she let me borrow her Q-Flash for the weekend... so thanks annie.. it was nice hanging out with ya today... now thats thats out of the way... tonight was the LAST trivia night ever... kinda sad... although it went like most trivia nights... everyone just sat around drank pbr and smoked on the porch untill about 11:30 then we had one round of 8 questions... to which one of the answers was neal diamond... fuck that guy... anyway... good night at the buzzo compound for the last time doing some trivia... afterwards lb and i headed up to capitol hill to say happy bday to chairity at the six arms... then we all headed up to stephanies studio apt to drink a few beers and tell some stories... pretty chill evening.. not alot of exciting news.. but I DID GET A GIFT when i got home... A MONOPOD... i guess i won it back in port townsend and the bogen guys finally sent it to me... so that was pretty cool... its not a fancy carbon fiber one like they said they were gonna send me but its damn light and seems like a smaller design then the one i use now... although ill probably sell this one cuz i really need some money... so if your interested hit me up... so thats that... thats my day today.. sorry its not super eventfull... now enjoy some pictures i took in canada.. and have a good day!

this is a few in one.... but its been a crazy couple days for sure... i went to canada on saturday and hung out with cassi which always makes my heart jump a lil bit... we didnt really do to much up there except visit the vancouver art gallery and check out some monets, van goahs, piccassos, and dalis (i cant spell so dont get mad).... dali in person is amazing i suggest checking it out... oh yeah and i got to check out stanley park finally... rad lil park... saw an eagle and its mate or whatever eating a fish.. and some seagull trying to bug em to get the fish? it was amusing to say the least... ok next up... found out tonight that crossroads is open 24/7 and lit!... which is RAD cuz its a block away from my house... which means instead of typing this i could be skating... but im not... so your lucky i guess? which brings up a small chance that i might be moving in with jesse to a apartment at skatebarn... its only 500 a month... for the WHOLE thing... so it would be hella cheap and id have full access to a huge skatepark... which would be cool too.. anyway enough about that... the big thing is that i got a call from jesse today saying that black flys (they make sunglasses) wants to make a poster out of one of my pics of jesse... this is nice because for one... its alot of money.. and would make my oregon trip another money making trip... and also it woudl be rad to see a photo i took turned into a poster... crazy thing is its not even one of my awesome shots... its only a simple snapshot i got a burnside... anyway im tired... im going to bed... heres the picture they want to use just for some visual pleasure....

Well.... after taking over driving duties somewhere in the HOH rainfores at about 3 in the morning cuz jesse was about to pass out... we continued our "springbreak/summer skate tour" towards Port angeles... everyone in the back was either wasted... or getting wasted off brass monkeys and PBRs while i was trying to stay awake... with the help of the whole trips theme song "fear of the dark" by maiden.. finally... after having high hopes of a dennys or all night diner in Forks and there not being one... everyone passed out i drank a double shot super coffee thing and tried to push on to P.A.. I found myself pulling over at cressent lake which is in the Olyimpic National Park or forest or something... its beautiful up there... so i had to stop.. and crashing out in a national park is alot better then crashing out in a dennys parking lot or skatepark parking lot in P.A... so i stumbled over to the lake.. snapped a few photos.. talked to joel about college... and then passed out...

Woke up at around 9 am and drove the final 20 miles into P.A and found a perfect dry empty skatepark... this being national "go skateboard day" i skated.. ive always wanted to skate the park there but its usually to busy or im to busy shooting photos... so it felt good to actually skate around for once... to bad everyone was exausted from the trip so there really wasnt any good reason to shoot photos... after skating for an hourish... yeah thats right we drove 5 hours out of our way to skate for an hour and not even shoot any photos... but hey... thats what road trips are for right? nothing beats spontanious decisions... ... so we headed to the ferry... stopped in kingston and found some of the manic crew there skating so we skated there for a while and realized why washington rocks... the vibe is so much better up here... after skating there for about another hour we go get in line for the ferry... which felt good... it was probably the first time on the trip that we felt at home... after getting off the ferry... we decided to make one more stop... MARGINAL... which closed the loop so to speak of out road trip as we made one huge loop around western washington and northwestern oregon.. plus... marginal is truely the park of washington so it was only fair to end it there... anyway it was an epic trip... it had everything... good friends... good skating.. crazy events... awesome sights... and tons of crazy quotes most of which i dont want to repeat here... its been a really good summer so far and im looking for whats around the next corner...

ok im posting this a day or so late... as i didnt have internet access on day four... but it was a good one... so here you go...

So I write this as Im cruising down highway 101… one of the most scenic drives in the world… only one problem… its two in the morning and its raining… but don’t worry I we got some Dylan playin on the radio and I have a nice frosty PBR… the reason we are driving up 101 you might ask?... well while in Lincoln city we decided to drive up to seaside to skate their new park and then head back home via 101 and stop at astoria on the way… well… first off… we slept a lil long in the nice getto hotel room I paid for but I took a shower so the whole deal was worth it… and we really wernt feeling Lincoln city although I did skate… yes… I skated… I even dropped into the bowl… i havnt really skated in so long, it felt good…. They even filmed me… so back to the trip… after leaving Lincoln we headed up to seaside… the crazy part of this is that we watched “the 300” which is probably one of the most epic movies ive ever watched… although halfway through the movie we stopped just shy of cannon beach and played in the ocean… I took some ocean pictures… got my feet wet.. and pretty much fell in love with the ocean.. I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO SURF! So after we finally realized that the ociean in the northwest is really fucking cold… we drove into seaside.. found the park.. and low and behold we find yet another crew on a skate trip.. this time its Benji Galloway and his lil crew of people from san fran… its crazy that there was at least three crews driving around Oregon at one time… after skating seaside which is a crazy lil park with what looks like LOTS of transfers… to bad it was pretty much packed with lil kids… and not to mention a baseball game going RIGHT next door… and every foul ball seemed to find its way into the skatepark for some reason? Which is scary.. shouldn’t have to worry about baseballs while skateboarding… anyway… here comes the funniest part of the day so far.. after skating we decieded to “sleep on the beach” so we headed into town to find us some ladies to join us… oh yeah.. and I probably found the most annoying girls EVER at the skatepark… who we saw AGAIN in town… this time dressed up like total WHORES… one… who was probably the ugliest girl ive ever seen. Was wearing a mini skirt thing.. a jacket and a bra… I felt like getting sick… the worst part was we kept seeing her and her annoying friend everywhere we went.. and they kept trying to get us to go to their “bonfire” on the beach… anyway no one wants to hear about stupid girls in a stupid lil tourist town in Oregon… so ill get on with the fact that we spent probably three hours trying to figure out what to do.. which we ended up deciding on driving a lil further up the coast and sleeping on a beach outside of town.. away from stupid “beezies” as we like to call em up here… so found a place on the map called “del ray beach” or something like that… which seemed like a good place… until we get over the dunes and theres NO WHERE to even have a fire… unless it was right on the ocean… so we hike back to the van… and decide to go to longbeach… and then we decide we want to go to port angeles… which in case you don’t know… is up near Canada… so there I am now… on the road to P.A… we just passed wesport and only have 140 miles to go… hopefully its dry…

well... after a long night of crazyness... involving drunken skating down stairs... most of which was switch.. smoking hookah.. drinking PBR and of course... more guitar hero... woke up and headed to Pier park... waited in traffic for an hour and a half just to get to the other side of portland and skated pier... it was way to hot to stand around and watch skating so i took a nap in the shade... then tried to shoot some photos but it was way to sunny and i didnt feel like taking photos anyway... to much fun the night before i guess?... then after waiting for linderman to bring us a case of kronic energy drink for the rest of the drink we finally head out of portland for our next stop on the oregon tour.. NEWBERG!... still BLAZING hot... although newberg is sick... its just like a snowboard park... but made out of concrete!... again it was to hot and way to bright to take any good photos so i just hung around in the shade and watched... but i can vouch that the park is legit and everyone should visit it once in their lifetime.. anyway... on to the next stop.. MCMINVILLE! which was pretty cool... showed up just as the good light was coming out so i was happy... pretty core lil session going on with some guys from the indy team just wrapping up some filming from the day... it turns out they are on the same agenda as us... hit up all the oregon parks... and their next stop is lincoln city... same as us.. so it should be a good day tomorrow... heres a couple shots from mcminville (its very unedited but it will do the trick for now)

After getting a couple shots in mcminville we load up the van... and head out to lincoln city... we get there hoping to find a place on the beach to sleep... but we found a real cheap hotel to hold up in instead... which is gonna be nice seeing how we all need showers and seeing how this is the northwest... the beach is really cold at night... plus i paid for it so i get the bed... and first shower so im set!... after heading down to the beach for a small bonfire we stumble back to the hotel.. set off the smoke alarm (in a smoking room non the less) trying to fire up the hookah... jump around on the beds for a while and settle into bed... tomorrow is lincoln city... then we head up to seaside then astoria... then drive up 101 back to seattle... this might be my last lil blog untill i get back so ill fill you in as i get the chance... this trip has been a pretty epic lil journey and its making me look forward to all the trips i have lined up in the next few months... heres some pics from the bonfire and mild hotel thrashing...Enjoy!

Well... after staying up for basicly the whole night.... woke up around 9:30... packed into the van and headed to where else... but mcdonalds... which i must say had the biggest "bitch" of a server ever... and the most crackheads around it too... but thats not important... we then headed to the glenhaven park... which is someplace on the eastside of portland.... it was packed at 10:30 in the morning... so i watched everyone skate around for a while... get snaked... and have some kid try to show up jesse after every trick he did.... then we headed back to the bacon compoud and rounded up another van load of troops and headed out to burnside... but first stopped by the bacon HQ... in the meantime i ran down to a pretty good lil food CO-OP in the "ballard/freemont"ish area of portland... had a pretty good lil smoothie and some awesome organic grapes... then got back in the van and headed to bum central! (burnside).... watched people skate.. and tried to snap a few photos using ambient light... i only got one i liked but i found alot of good angles.... heres my favorite from burnside...

After burnside... we headed back to the bacon compound in east portland... they played some guitar hero while i unloaded some photos... then headed back to glenhaven.... it was to sunny to shoot any really good photos so i watched people skate.. untill jesse wanted to go search for porn... which is what jesse does EVERYTIME he comes to oregon... this time it was TABOO video... which was just your average porno superstore.. untill we walked into the lil "peep show booths" and i saw the "glory hole" section... which scared the hell out of me cuz everytime iw ent in to see if there actually WAS a hole, there was always some really sketch dude peepin me seeing if i was gonna walk inside... so i didnt... it was that scary... anyway there ended up being a hole... i dont want to talk about it... hahah... anyway back to glenhaven.. the light was perfect.. i got some shots... they will be posted at the end of this... anyway now its partytime... which means halo and guitar hero.. and lots of beer drinking... now enjoy the pictures!

OH yeah... we are probably heading out to the coast tomorrow... so there might not be an update for a couple days... but ill try my best... thanks for reading all this nonesense...

we pile into jesses van which was supprisingly clean... then stop by safeway so all the freshly graduated HS kids can load up on donuts... while i buy apples... then drive 3 hours to battleground so we can get there by 11:00 so the lights will still be on... but oh... dont worry the lighting is so shitty it might as well have been pitch black... it wasnt even worthy taking out my shitty point and shoot to take a shitty photo... nothing special really execpt for some redneck skater dressed up in carharts saying that "the park is to much for jesse" cuz he ran out of a rock to fakie... cuz it was dark as hell... anyway like i said nothing special so we left for portland so we could stay at the bacon compound... to which all the kids immediatly found the halo... and jesse found the guitar hero... and now that its 4 in the morning... and we have a dennys to hit up before we get to burnside in the morning... im gonna head to bed... so heres a pic from way back i got at marginal of jesse... cuz i was lazy today and didnt take any photos... so enjoy!

FINALLY LB'S 21!.... THATS RIGHT... SHES GONNA BE BROKE SOON! hahah well she will as soon as she finds out just how much it costs to go out to the bars everynight... shes gonna wish she was back on her front porch drinking 6 dollor 12 packs of PBR.. hahah anyway thats the bad part.. the rest is the good part... so i would have posted this last night... but it was a late.. as in i got home at 4 in the morning... it was probably one of the best 21 runs ive ever been on and it surely made me jealouse as my 21 run was pretty boring in comparision... first off... she had a late start as she starrted pretty much the minute she turned 21.. yeah thats right... she stood outside the KNARR waiting but didnt have to wait long cuz as soon as she stepped foot in the door... she had a wiskey on the rocks waiting for her... along with a gin and tonic.. and the rest is a blur... but i remember getting free drinks for her at the bar... she always had two drinks in her hand and she held them well... i think about 40 mins in she had a lil rough spot... but she found a flashlight so she was set for the rest of the evening.. anyway here at the pictures... thanks again for turning 21 lindsay... its gonna be a fun summer from here on out... trust me... its nice beeing "of age"

yup... thats me in the funny hat... graduating... i never thought i would get to this point in my life... after all i didnt finish highschool... waited a couple years before i got my GED... and then waited a few more years before really settling down into a real college experience... but it was worth every minute... i dont think ive ever felt more complete and yet also filled with the feeling of "ok whats next... its all up to me!"... anyway it was a good day there was confussion but it probably made it more fun and memorable then if it went smooth and as planned.. but thats how the class of 07 commercial photo rolls... we rock it! i wish the whole class would have walked but it still felt good to walk with the people i did... so thanks bethany... thanks john.. thanks ashley,, thanks megan... thanks zech... thanks stephanie... and thanks kelsy! and thanks chairity for sitting in the crowd and taking photos... i wish you would have walked with us but its ok... you get to tell the story of the confussion from the publics point of view...

seriously i did.... its rad... and ill tell you ALL about it after i tell you about my day... ANYWAY... so... today cassi moved to canada... vancouver to be exact.. to start her new life as a film student at vancouver film school (i know nothing about it but it sounds like a pretty rad lil program).. anyway i went and helped her and her roomate rachel move... AKA i got to carry a bunch of heavy boxes.... up a steep ass flight of stairs... and one hideabed couch and two fullsize beds... i had rachels dad for help.. he came with a warning... "he talks ALOT"... no problem... i talk ALOT too... i can battle this guy in the talking war!... he turned out to be pretty hilarious.. anyway... heres some pictures from my day... oh yeah.. and the weather... AWESOME... i love visiting canada.. im gonna visit more often now that i have a friend living up there...

anyway seeing how its thursday... it was TRIVIA NIGHT!... so around 8ish i got up... put on a brand new shirt thanks to the homies at SESSIONS (im really starting to like those guys)... and showed up at LB's house... first off let me say the sky today... fucking AWESOME... i wish i was shooting tonight.. cuz the clouds around sunset were fucking RAD!!!! anyway pretty uneventufull trivia... stupid hipster friends of LB's showed up... ignored everyone cuz hipsters only talk to hipsters... or lindsay... i dont know... its probably just that hot girls dont talk to me? anyway... started trivia... THREE ROUNDS OF THREE QUESTIONS.... who would have thought? well... thanks to nick the questions are always REALLY f-ing hard... so it was a tie between my team... "something about a hangover i forgot the name but im putting it in quotes anyway" and "www.stewardphotography-sucks.com" (not a real website so dont go to it).... oh and seeing how it was a tie... the questions were just as hard... although i got ABBA... which was rad and saved our teams ass... oh yeah... it went 5 rounds of overtime too... which sucked... cuz i really wanted to win... and i totaly would have let renees team win after that cuz i was sick of it... anyway... final question was "what instrument did bo diddly play... which is easy... a fucking GUITAR!... anyway moral to the story... i won.. thats two trivias in a row!... im on fire!... anyway now thanks to annie calling me and keeping me from finishing this i should wrap it up... im going to canada tomorrow... to help cassi move... just for the day but i might go visit her next week for a couple days and meet up with some canadian photogs for some expensive beer and chit chat... anyway check out some trivia night drunken photos... not the greatest but it was fun.. as always... enjoy!

Well... after a LATE night last night, i woke up late today... to late to do anything really productive. So i sat around... played around on the interweb... most importantly i took an inventory of my photo gear... turns out im missing TWO adjustable heads for my lightstands and ONE light stand!... dont forget my broken hotshoe-pw cords... i only need to buy two more... but whatever... they get alot of use so i guess things are bound to break eventually?.... OH yeah.... took the 4x5 out to shoot some photos today... found out i only have some 64T sheets... so i had to look up which filter would help in making my daylight strobes not look "blue" anyway.. it was worthless anyway cuz as soon as i got all set up for a shot... i went to hook my wizard up to my 4x5 and found out i had LOST yet another piece of gear... the cord that goes from the PC-PW... so yeah... gotta find that... i did end up getting one shot... not really a super sick trick or anything but it is arty and shit... so here it is.... let me know what you think if you want... have a good day!

So today was pretty fun.... went into school for the last time.. unloaded my network... said goodbye to instructors... blah blah boring i know... whats rad is that i got my 4x5 fixed cuz the first years broke my shit somehow... so glazers hooked it up (yeah ralph "hey buddy")... anyway i know what you ALL are jonesing for is the juicy pictures from the "BON BON BONFIRE" which was our lil bon voyage gathering for april and jenn... april... who i will sadly probably never see again and jenn... who im probably gonna see again for her wedding which is gonna be a fucking AWESOME party... so i cant wait... anyway... fun night indeed... picked up john.. headed out to golden gardens WHICH IS A BEACH MINDEE!!!! (just cuz you cant surf it doesnt mean its not a beach... and in all actuality the sand was probably imported.. but who cares... its a real beach!... anyway... between the drunk ass wannabe fratboys in pink polo shirts playing football in the MIDDLE of everyone... and annelese and gemma going for a boat ride with some guy who was wasted on a jetboat thing... it was a pretty eventfull evening... before i start sharing pictures here i just want everyone who i spent the past two years of school life with to know the following things....

- Your the best friends i could ever have or have ever asked for... (how was i supposed to know that i would ever get so close to so many people who are all so different then me)

so after spending all day printing out W9's... sending invoices.... sending model releases to people.... trying to get ahold of people who dont answer their phones.... i finally get taken out to dinner by my gramps who DIDNT even know what i went to school for let alone that i was graduating next week.... (he thought I was in all the pictures in my portfolio).... anyway.. that went rad cuz he gave me a grip of money... which is always good for someone like me in my shoes as a broke and now EX-college student.... i must say the best part of my day came when L.B called me and needed me to rescue her in northbend cuz kristine got arrested for being a COMPLETE idiot.... and totaling out the car of the people who she is house sitting for... lying to the cops... not taking a breathalizer test... and having warrents for her arrest.... to which i really felt sorry for lindsay cuz she had to sit there and try to find a ride home while a cop was being a dick to her the whole time.... after that it wasnt bad... i picked her up... made her listen to some david allen coe (she hates country music... but the song is hilarious!) and then we went out to dinner in greenlake... all in all... a pretty interesting day... heres a pretty cool picture of jamie lynn i took at the holy oly this year... enjoy!

so.... ive come to the conclusion that i desperatly need OUT of my house... its been two days since my mom moved out and my dad is driving me nuts!... he keeps texting me and bitching at me about how he cant get ahold of her... he bursts into my room without knocking... makes the worst smelling food EVER!... and also theres no damn furniture or any pictures in the place other then MY furniture and my pictures from my portfolio show... plus i really dont need to be here anyway... im 26 years old... this is STUPID... i wish they hadnt convinced me to stay at home while i was in school... it helped definatly... but it now seems like a HUGE mistake...

holy crap today was rad... i spent some graduation money on some MUCH needed camera equipment... went to probably every realm of seattle it started from lake union (glazers for camera gear)... then up to capitol hill to get L.B's birthday preasent (a new case for her smokes and money cuz i broke the last one... i even got her some luckystrikes cuz im THAT nice)... then to downtown (snocon to hang out with some "snow bros")... through georgetown (i wish i lived there... id drink PBR all day and feel fine about it).... then up to beacon hill (to visit terry and listen to him bitch about his wife while he changed the oil on her car).... then back to the U-district to drop off Lindsays gift and buy her a card and a surfing mag to add to it... then i got a call from josh who had apprently been sleeping all day after drinking to much wine in the morning so i treked it to ballard... then we tried to find some food but since it sunday in seattle, they stop serving food at 9... so we ended up going to dennys (holy crap what a gut bomb... remind me not to go there ever again unless its a dire emergency)... then josh, karli, and i ended up going bowling with some fisherman friends of josh's who happen to be from alaska... i kick ass at bowling... then i ended up at lindsays again... crazy long day... to bad it had to end with my dad bitching about my mom... but whatever... just furthers the fact that i NEED to move out of this house... and into seattle... where life is AWESOME!!!! thats all.... heres a picture of lindsay and me on new years.... which was another rad night... i love my friends... best in the world!
