hello again.....

yeah.... been lazy... really lazy... but mostly ive been moving and getting ready for winter.. oh yeah and i went to cali for a while... and montana (but i think you already know that...) anyhow.. heres a quick update...

basicly moved into a place in northbend... right behind safeway.. a min off the freeway and twenty mins from the mtn.. its RAD... my room is big enought to make a studio in.. which ive done... and the shop is big enough to have a HUGE mini ramp.. which is halfway done.. anyway... heres some photos of the place so check em out...

also... it snowed a FOOT at our place over the weekend (its gone now thanks to a nice pineapple express) we went out on a night mission around snoqualmie and found a few potential shots... but nothing panned out.. i only ended up getting a nasty cold and ONE photo in the car driving around... here is it cuz im bored and i feel like showing it off... enjoy.. untill the next time.. whenever that will be?

yeah so its been a while... yeah i suck at this... yeah... SO WHAT! ive been busy... anyway tomorrowi leave for the last adventure of summer... CALI.. yeah thats right going back to cali to cali... (ok ill shut up now) anyway going for two weeks... gonna hopefully take some awesome skate pictures... and hopefully meet the girls from laguna beach/the hills fall madly in love with em (or at least them with me) and they will marry me and i will be set for life... but in reality i HATE that show... both of em in fact... i hate those girls... but i wouldnt mind being set for life though... ill let you know how it goes... I WILL THOUGH... be meeting up with the love of my life at somepoint on the trip... when? who knows... i cant wait though!

now for a lil update on the past few weeks.... been busy i know... went to montana... stayed around here... did nothin... did alot... went to canada a couple times too... montana was pretty rad though... you can smoke in the bars there... thats pretty cool cuz you dont have to go outside to talk to the cute girls who smoke ...PLUS you can get your drinks TO GO!... yeah... to go... i tried it... it was all it was cracked up to be... AND MORE! i also skated some cool pools and parks... took a couple pictures... rockstared it with one of the dudes in pearl jam... and if you classify "rockstared" as drank beer and played dice on the deck of his private grindline bowl... then thats what i did... jeffs a cool dude.. just dont make fun of bono around him.. or else your in deep shit!

i use alot of lights for this photo... and it still sucks.... maybe it has something to do with the fact that theres a long haired hippie flipping me off... behind a pile of dimes...

for some strange reason a group of kids driving a beat ass caddy with this thing on the hood followed us the whole way... more on this story if you want to ask me later... but really you just need to look at the hood and it tells you the whole thing...

its been a while....

yeah... i havnt updated in a while... my excuse.. i was busy and i had no internet for a week or so.. lame i know but does it really matter... i didnt think so..

ANYWAY... shot my second wedding.. well.. charity and i shot it together but that didnt make it any less nerve racking or stressfull.. even though it was jens wedding so no matter what she probably would have loved the pictures.. anyway.. this one really boosted my confidence towards shooting a wedding.. i have to thank charity and jen both for giving me the opportunity to shoot it.. im glad i had the chance.. plus it was a great lil vacation away from the busy city.. anyway heres a couple shots..




yeah... i got to play with a tilt/shift lense for the weekend... i think everytime i use one of those i fall a lil more in love with it... its a good thing i dont own one or else id probably get sick of it really fast.. its just so much fun! ok im off to bed.. gotta get up early tomorrow hope you all had a good labor day weekend..

WOW... im tired and have been up all day either shooting photos... poaching food... or standing with my jaw dropped at how badass this contest is... ive never seen better riding.. and so many almost crashes... crazy shit... oh and rune kills it... absolutly KILLS IT!.. photos later... as i shot 200 photos today and ithen started partying so i not really up for some editing right now... but dont worry ill have a rather large photo update when i get home... so stay tuned... also stay tuned for day 4.. pier park.. its got a 12 foot deep end... its gonna be crazy.. plus i hear jake brown is gonna be there... and if you dont know who that is by now... search youtube.. and get back to me... untill then... ... look forward to the next update... im going to bed...

12:00 wake up coughing like a highschool kid smoking for the first time and walk upstairs to everyone making peanut butter sammiches and checking their myspace…

1:00 start playing guitar hero

2:00 continue playing guitar hero

3:00 ask ourselves “why arnt we at the skatepark right now?” yet continue to play guitar hero while gripping new decks

4:00 start heading to glenhaven

4:30 get to glenhaven… skate

7:00 realize that we should be on our way to Lincoln city so everyone piles into two vans… our van somehow ends up 9 people deep… (pictures later to prove it)… while the other van.. only holds 4…

9:00 after loading van… stopping at taco bell.. then eating for an hour.. we finally hit the road… here comes the fun part….

11:30 after driving for an hour and a half… we realize that the lead van.. (the van with 4 people in it mind you) has taken us on the LONGEST way to get to lincoln city.. basicly we drove fro Portland… to cannon beach.. then DOWN to Lincoln city.. which equals 180 miles… where as the proper way.. is only 80 miles.. and has no road contruction.. OR curvy coastal highways… which are NOT fun to drive at 1am just to let you know… logging trucks are scary.. lets just leave it at that…

130 am… arrive in Lincoln city… they want to sleep on the beach… I have no hoodie… no tent… and a cheap sleeping bag so fuck that… jesse and I get a hotel room for 60 bucks.. we barge 8 people into it and make our money back… and I get to shower in the morning…

anatomy of a road trip.... day one

sleep in....

wake up... realize that today is the day you leave for your trip... scramble around and try to find sources of income for said trip... even if it means selling random shit in your room to friends/parents/whoever... quarter jars work great too!

sit around untill the very last min... today for example i was supposed to be at jesse's house at 8:30pm... i sorry but there was a bronson movie on AMC and i definatly want missing that... plus i needed to shower and pack my shit still...

ten mins till 8:30... after quick shower and what not... start packing bags full of gear and clothing... throw it in car.. start pulling out of driveway....

8:35pm... jesse calls asking where the hell i am... i tell him "its a true winning bet that ill be late everytime... its just how i roll".. he says its all good... i roll out to the bank.. pick up a few bucks from the ATM and head to jesses...

9pm get to jesses... load up the van.. head to skatebarn...

get to skatebarn.. pick up daycare danny... eat some cold fried chicken... hella good...

stop by gas station.. pick up road soda.. start trek down south....

enjoy cold beverage most of way.. make it to portland in record time it seems....

continue drinking at bacon compound the skrotes are already drunk and in full effect...

wow... nyquill and beer makes you hella tired.. pass out around 3:30... no wait... 4am... ok wow definatly need sleep...

well... mr steroids did it tonight... 756... i watched it cuz i figured i should probably watch baseball history even if i think its totaly bullshit cuz the guy totaly jacked himself up on the roids back around 600... at least skateboarding and snwoboarding isnt tainted by steriods... it just proves baseball is a joke.. and thats that.. ANYWAY... tea.. yeah tea.. i said it... its probably been the ONLY thing thats helped me get past this cold that ive been in a huge battle with over the past week... ok. ok so about that photo... well tonight.. after watching bonds hit #756 i decided that i actually felt pretty decent... or at least decent enough to shoot some photos.. and leo had told me they were in the U-district skating so i headed out that way... about halfway i realized i forgot my lighting bag back in my room... but l uckly i had had my speedlights in my reg bag and i had a couple tripods in my car so i made due.. lets just say it involved a piece of bark.. and an A-clamp and i dont know how it held on there but it did so im happy.... heres a shot of hector i got tonight... i had to make due with only two lights so thats why its got the motion blur thing going on.. but i dig it so i guess thats all that matters... but feel free to let me know what you think...

ok now im gonna try and get some rest.. as i have to pack up and head out to oregon tonight for the tri-fecta... it should be fun so ill keep you posted!

i hate being sick...

its the worst... flat out the worst feeling ever! basicly heres a wrap up of my routine of the last three days...

try to get to sleep... but end up coughing my ass off hacking up a lung or two...

sleep for about an hour at a time... wake up coughing... drink more water.. cough some more... pass out somehow

wake up hella late in the afternoon... wasted day... feeling like crap... wishing my head woudl just get its act together and actually explode.. but it never does...

watch some xgames... you know they have rally racing in the xgames? wierd... but it was probably one of the most fun events to watch...

rent some movies.... casino royale is really good btw...

drink more cough medicine... cough some more...

try to pass out... no luck... still coughing...

i just hope i can start to feel better by weds cuz i leave for oregon for the weekend.. and the last thing i want to do is spend it coughing....

hood... the aftermath

well... i survived... i seriously thought i was gonna die of some wierd green shit filling my lungs and making me cough all night.. (and no im not talking about what your thinking of)... if your ever thinking of staying at the ark... DONT!... anyway i started working on some photos from the trip.. sorry i didnt get any photos of the ark but it was so bad im sure it would have broke my camera... and i dont need that... so my description will just have to do for now.. heres a shot of A-Dub in the public park to tie you over for now... enjoy!

hood... day two

what can i say... i didnt take any pictures.. i met andy wright and saw zimm again... got invited to some photo camp thing by zimmerman... although im pretty sure im not gonna be able to make it... and i hung out on the river for like 5 hours bsing and realizing how awesome my lil piece of this world is.... oh and iw ent to probably one of the most boring parties ever... people dress like clowns down here.. and act just the same... sometimes i hate being a snowboarder... im glad i dont act like that... gotta love being from WASHINGTON.. that shit dont fly up there... anyway i have twenty mins left on my battery... its hella cold cuz the only place to get internet at this crack den is outside on a pretty fucking gross couch... and im tired and have to wake up hella early to shoot somephotos... so... yeah.... sorry im lazy and dont take pictures of my adventures as much as i should... ill tell you all about em though if you ask... or ill probably just tell you anyway... shit... 15 mins... gotta run... sleepytime...

mt hood... day one

Rick got married…. Its so crazy im not even gonna talk about it until I find out more info… lets just say “WOW”… other then that bit of crazy news I just woke up from an extremely rough night of driving to hood… getting there… going on a crazy fucked up canoe ride in what looks to me now like a sesspool of beer cans and lillypads… and trying to fall asleep with what I think is a mild case of T.B. (basicly I cant stop caughing…) so to help everyone out who is sleeping in the cabin which what ive been told is called “mantana”… I took a walk around this place until I found some lil room (which wasn’t any cleaner then “mantana” btw) and passed out on a couch… ok lets get you up to par with where I am right now… im at the “coaches” lodging at windells snowboard camp… and by “coaches” lodging im talking about what looks to be an old crack den up in he mtns which has been converted to some sort of snowboarders party realm… I thought skateboarders were filthy… I guess we take the cake now?... the onl y thing I can compare this place to is jesses van after a week long road trip… times TEN! Because jesses van doesn’t smell like weed and piss… id take some photos but my camera is locked up in adams trunk… as for now ajax ust walked in so im gonna get ready do to some shredding and photographing… oh… and just to let you know orgoneians drink a lot of HAMMS… im out!

huckers, hipsters, and one chimp...

yup thats right... the day starts with the word "huckers" today marked the 6th annual redmond skate comp and in a world with out "ride on" it means that its a pretty small one at that.... good times were had by all... i got to sleep in (thanks jesse for waking me up with a call at 11:50) i shot some pictures... bs'd with friends... watched some friends skate.. and got a couple phone numbers in the process... thats always a recipe for a good day... speaking of day, the other word of the day is "hipster" having been lured down to the capitol hill block party only to have to pay to get in... (20 bucks YIKES!)... and to only really want to see one band (against me) it really want that bad... especially after surviving my first night ever at the "cha cha lounge" (aka where all the hipsters go to plot to destroy the world with one bad fashion accesory after another)... "no mom i didnt partake in any "blow" in the bathroom... and yes i closed my tab at 20 bucks for once!"... and after a heaping pile of "chocolate chip pancakes" with josh and karli i skated back to my car and drove home.... only to find none other then this WONDERFUL picture of me "chimping" yesterday at the double set jam contest thing at seattle central.... nice shot marshall.. i owe you one you make me look famous or something... thats all i have to say for the night... enjoy... look forward to hopefully me writing a story for sessions about the redmond contest.. ill be doing that tomorrow... wish me luck! another day... another sunrise

yeah... thats right... yet ANOTHER day watching ANOTHER sunrise... not really that bad if you think about it i suppose... sunrises are pretty cool.. the sky turns from all black to dark blue then grey then finally pink and orange... and then its suddenly just like that, its daytime... well today i started out searching for a good shot of the sunrise... and i knew where to find one too... so i loaded one of my dogs up into the car... and headed out for this rad mtn top view i know of thats close to home.. only to find that the damn park is CLOSED untill 9 am... so basicly only the super rich people who live on the hill get a nice view cuz they sure as hell dont let any good vantage points fall into the "publics" eye... so i gave up on finding a mtn top view and headed for the beach of lake sammamish... which wasnt very visually stimulating... but i did get to take pics of ducks and remember my "roots" in photography... i guess i came around full circle today... i guess that only means i get to start another circle... this should be fun... ill keep you posted... untill then enjoy these photos of ducks and orange skys....

Well... microsoft paid snowboard connection to have their skate team do a lil demo at some big dinner thing on the waterfront today... i was invited along to take some photos of the whole thing... nothing really to exciting.. they promised "free tattoos" and "free beer" but once we got there there was no free tattoo... no tattooers at all.. just wierd people talking about computers... and the free beer only lasted about 20 mins before they figured out that we would have drank it all... and they didnt want a bunch of drunk skateboarders around.. so they cut us all off.. untill the demo was over.. anyhow it was a BEAUTIFUL day on the waterfront.. great sunset.. fun skating.. good friends.. heres a couple photos from the whole thing... now im off to bed!

Pulled an all nighter.....

Well... i havnt been sleeping at night lately so ive decided to put an "all nighter" and skip the whole "sleeping all day" thing so i can HOPEFULLY get some sleep tonight... (crosses fingers)... anyway i decided to take a lil morning walk... and bring my camera along to document the journey... heres the pictures...
